Taxation Accountant

Job Description:

Nasser Centre for Science and Technology is seeking a Taxation Accountant to join our finance team. This role is essential for managing all tax-related accounting functions, ensuring full compliance with Bahraini tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to accurately prepare and submit tax returns, maintain records, and support comprehensive financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit all required tax returns, including but not limited to VAT returns, to the relevant authorities in Bahrain within stipulated deadlines.
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of all tax-related transactions.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized tax records, ensuring easy retrieval for audits and reviews.
• Assist in the calculation and reconciliation of corporate tax liabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solidunderstanding of Bahraini tax laws, particularly Value Added Tax (VAT).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 1-3 years of proven experience in an accounting role, with a strong emphasis on taxation.
