Job Description
The teacher will be responsible for providing instruction on a wide range of computer science courses, including programming (Python, Java, and C++), web programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL), robotics and IoT (Lego, Arduino, and Rasbery Pi), and databases.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach students about the various facets of programming languages, cloud computing, AI, and other relevant technologies or tools related to robotics and IoT.
- Teach students how computers work, including the fundamental science and mathematics behind their operation, as well as the hardware and software built on those foundations.
- Teach students how to write computer programmes, algorithms, and programming languages.
- Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
- Read and stay abreast of current topics in computer science.
- Supervise student projects and assist other departments with collaborative ones.
- Use various curriculum resources.
- Design and integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
- Utilise curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
- Develop incentives to keep participants in class.
- Keep track of grades and grade papers, as well as perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Assess students' progress and achievements.
- Develop professional relationships with companies, agencies, and education providers.
- Collaborate with program coordinators to ensure that initiatives are successfully completed.
- Participate with other departments or teachers in projects and competitions inside and outside the center. It involves representing the centre in both local and global competitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in robotics, IoT, or any related certification.
- Proficiency in using educational technology.
