In collaboration with Tamkeen, the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST) is pleased to offer an opportunity to enrol in the Apprenticeship Programme, which combines academic training at the centre with practical, on-the-job training at partner companies.
- Programme Duration: 3 years (comprising 30% academic training at the centre and 70% on-the-job training).
- Qualification Type: Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will receive an internationally accredited qualification from Pearson – UK, at Level 4 or Level 5 in one of the following engineering specializations:
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Operations Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Welding and Fabrication Engineering
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be a Bahraini national.
- The applicant must be 18 years old and above.
- The applicant must be secondary school graduate or hold a vocational diploma in the relevant specialization and employees.
- The applicant must be unemployed.
- The applicant must not currently be enrolled in any educational or training programme.
- The applicant must successfully pass the interview and entry assessment.

بالتعاون مع تمكين- يقدم مركز ناصر العملي والتقني فرصة التسجيل في برنامج التلمذة المهنية، الذي يجمع بين التدريب الأكاديمي داخل المركز والتدريب العملي في مواقع العمل لدى الشركات المشاركة.
- مدة البرنامج : 3 سنوات ( يتضمن تدريب في المركز بنسبة 30% وتدريب على رأس العمل بنسبة 70%).

نوع المؤهل: عند إتمام البرنامج بنجاح، يحصل المشارك عند إتمام البرنامج بنجاح على مؤهل دولي معتمد من بيرسون – بريطانيا، في المستوى الرابع أو الخامس في أحد التخصصات الهندسية التالية:
- الهندسة الكهربائية والإلكترونية
- هندسة العمليات
- الهندسة الميكانيكية
- هندسة اللحام والتصنيع
شروط الالتحاق بالبرنامج:
- يجب أن يكون المتقدم/المتقدمة من الجنسية البحرينية.
- يجب أن يكون عمر المتقدم 18 عامًا فما فوق.
- يجب أن يكون المتقدم خريج الثانوية العامة أو حاصل على دبلوم مهني في التخصص ذي الصلة والموظفين.
- يجب أن يكون المتقدم عاطلًا عن العمل.
- يجب ألا يكون المتقدم مسجلاً حاليًا في أي برنامج تعليمي أو تدريبي.
- يجب على المتقدم اجتياز المقابلة واختبار القبول بنجاح.

Work placement
Work Placement is a compulsory component of each program and a pre-requisite for graduation. All students have to complete on-the-job training for varying durations depending on their program of study.

The Work Placement Program generally runs once a year. Students receive invaluable, practical, ‘hands-on’ training that plays a key role in their future endeavors.
