Job Description:

Nasser Centre for Science and Technology is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical / Welding Engineer to join our technical and academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supervising mechanical and welding courses, ensuring learners gain both theoretical understanding and practical competencies in fabrication, maintenance, and safety standards related to the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in mechanical and welding disciplines.
  • Develop instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with curriculum objectives.
  • Train learners in the use of mechanical tools, welding techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct demonstrations and hands-on sessions in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
  • Evaluate learners’ performance and provide constructive feedback for academic and skill development.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintenance of workshop equipment.
  • Participate in curriculum development, academic meetings, and training programs as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Solid knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, MIG, TIG), mechanical systems, and fabrication methods.
  • Previous teaching or technical training experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Ability to manage practical workshops and ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical or welding engineering or teaching in a related discipline.
